Labels on the Lawn raises record-breaking $411,200 for vulnerable women and children
Our role: PR, video production
-
Bloom PR was engaged to promote both Labels on the Lawn and Hanworth House, which hosts the annual, exclusive sustainable fashion shopping event. All proceeds go to Women’s Legal Service Queensland to support women and children impacted by domestic and family violence (DFV).
2024 was a significant year, with Labels on the Lawn turning 5 and Hanworth House celebrating its 160th birthday.
-
I opted for a multi-channel approach, aiming to secure media coverage across TV, print, online, radio and social media. Knowing the rich history behind Hanworth House, I also produced a video about the heritage-listed home to support the traditional media release.
The video featured high-profile identities from television and radio as well as respected Architects and Dame Quentin Bryce AD, CVO, FAAL, FASSA, the former Governor General of Australia.
Speaking of Governors, I also requested 160th Birthday letters of acknowledgement from the Queensland Governor and Premier as a gift for Marisa.
To complement the magnificent homestead, we opted to make this a year of Luxe Labels on the Lawn. We knew that extensive media coverage would encourage the best-dressed women in Queensland to donate clothing for a worthy cause, supporting sustainable fashion in the process.
Some of the ‘luxe’ labels that were donated included Versace, Chanel, Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Pucci, Hermes and more.
-
We more than doubled the money raised in 2023 ($201,000) to secure $411,200 for Women’s Legal Service Queensland.
I obtained coverage across TV, print, radio and social media, including 7 News, The Courier Mail, Radio 4BC, Style magazine, and Brooke Falvey’s social media channels.

I worked directly with Marisa Vecchio, a high-profile philanthropist, former Queensland Telstra Businesswoman of the Year, and proud owner of Hanworth House. Here’s what Marisa had to say:
“Working with Danyelle has been a dream. She is a beautiful soul and we have been able to reach audiences and targets that we never would have without her help. She is always open to all ideas, and nothing is ever too hard. My only regret is I didn't meet her 10 years ago! Really couldn't recommend Danyelle more.”
