Event production and promotion

Make your event the name on everyone’s lips

Events are an opportunity to showcase your brand, celebrate a milestone, or bring the community together. Sometimes, it’s all three.

From the world stage to local celebrations, I have vast experience managing events and promoting them in the media, including:

  • The Beijing Olympic Torch Relay in 2008 where 50,000 people lined the streets of Canberra to catch a glimpse of the Olympic flame in its only Australian stop

  • Australia Day celebrations

  • Press conferences and media events for the former Premier of Queensland and senior Ministers

  • Major brand event launches with VIP guest lists.

No matter whether the event is big or small, I’ll have everything covered.

A successful event starts with messaging and media promotion

For an event to be successful, you need the right people to attend.

And just like PR, this starts with identifying a compelling hook or angle – why does it matter, what will attendees get out of it, and why should they RSVP?

I’ll craft the right messages for the right people and strategically promote the event in the media, through teasers and video content. This will help generate interest, support, and ensure media coverage and attendance.

Here’s what you can expect from Bloom PR:

  • Identifying key messages to use in all promotional materials

  • Backgrounding the media before the event

  • Managing every aspect of event execution

  • Ensuring the client and presenters feel confident and have everything they need

  • Managing the media to give clients the best chance of coverage.

Professional event management and video production

Details are paramount when it comes to events. Clients want their guests to feel like VIPs.

Equally as important, everything needs to run smoothly for speakers and the media.

I’ll give just as much thought to the little details – cables, lighting, refreshments, and wifi – as I will to the media promotion strategy.

And, if you need professional video to use on socials, your website, and in internal communications, I can produce that too.

I highly recommend investing in video content. Professionally produced, broadcast-quality footage will be vital to building a VNR and your asset library. And, if you’re hosting an annual campaign, it will make the promotion of the following year’s event seamless.
